Description (Service) Strives to create more inclusive and safer communities for transgender people across Northeastern Ontario and create a better understanding of the challenges that exist when coming out, and transitioning in Northern Ontario
 
Protects the rights of transgender people independent of where they are along their gender journey by providing: 
  • Education: Providing workshops and education for organizations, service providers, agencies, schools and businesses that are seeking to develop Trans Inclusive policies 
  • Direct Client Services: Providing individual, group, family and partner support for gender questioning or transgender people of all ages including doctor referrals, peer support, family sessions, supportive accompaniment to appointments, advocacy, assistance navigating transition related paperwork, and much more.  
  • Offering individual and group support to assist people facing challenges within the community with respect to their gender identity, including: 
    • Social Support Group 
    • Youth Group 
    • Parent and Family Support Group

Eligibility Direct Client Services: Transgender or questioning individuals, their friends and families
