Description (Service) Provides a one-hour class for individuals who have had a stroke
 
Provides a trained exercise instructor to deliver the class and focuses on the following: 
  • Aerobic conditioning 
  • Functional strengthening 
  • Mobility and balance exercises
Hours Tue, Thu 10:45 am-11:45 am
Areas Served Thunder Bay
Eligibility
  • Individuals who have had a stroke 
  • Must have completed all therapy and be able to walk at least 10 meters/30 feet with or without a walking aid 
  • Must be able to perform standing exercises with or without support 
  • Must be able to tolerate exercising for 60 minutes twice a week safely
 
Note: A pre-admission assessment is conducted by a health care practitioner, such as a physiotherapist
